My advice is to wear layers. The weather changes quickly up there and it can get really chilly once you're in the air! I was freezing on my first flight!
I think it's worth it to ask the instructors about the best spots for photos before you take off. They really know the good angles and you can save yourself some time trying to figure it out mid-air.
I recommend booking your flight in advance online. It saved me money and I found some great deals. Also, try to avoid weekends if you can, it's usually super crowded then
