If you're on a budget, consider packing a picnic. The museum has a lovely outdoor space where you can relax and eat rather than spending extra on food at the site.
I suggest getting there as soon as it opens at 10 AM to beat the crowds and really enjoy the place. I had a much more peaceful time exploring before the tour groups rolled in.
Don’t miss the little signs with info on the ruins while wandering around. I found that reading about the history made the experience so much richer, so take your time to soak it all in!
