Try to visit around 2 PM when the sunlight hits just right. The stained glass looks amazing at that time, and you can get some cool photos without too many people around.

I suggest bringing some change if you want to light a candle or donate; they only accept cash inside and it’s a nice way to support the place.

Keep an eye on your belongings! I noticed a couple of people hovering around, and while I didn't have any issues, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
