I suggest getting there by 9 AM. The place is less crowded then, and you can enjoy taking pics without too many folks in the background. Trust me, it’s worth the early rise!
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes! There’s a lot of walking and climbing involved. I thought my flip-flops would be fine, but they were a total mistake during the tour.
I recommend bringing snacks and water. There’s not much around, and the heat can be intense. I learned the hard way – ended up spending way too much on overpriced drinks at the site.
