My advice is to check out their drink specials - I ended up spending more than I needed just because I didn't ask. Some nights, they have buy one get one free which is a steal!
I think it helps to learn a few basic Thai phrases, like 'hello' and 'thank you'. It made a difference in how the staff treated me and it’s a nice way to connect a bit.
