If you can, visit in the morning before 10 AM. It gets pretty crowded later in the day, and the lighting is great for photos then!

Don't miss the night view if you can. The lights along the riverside are stunning, and it creates a totally different vibe. I think it's worth staying later for!

I suggest bringing a picnic. There are lovely spots along the walk where you can chill and munch. Saves money and makes for a nice break!
