My advice is to take your time and read the info plaques. They provide some really interesting stories that you won't find in a guidebook.

I recommend checking out the visitor center's exhibitions first. It gives you a fantastic overview and makes the outdoor sections more meaningful when you go back out to explore.

If you're traveling on a budget, pack a snack. The nearby cafes can be pricey, and you might want to spend more time exploring than running around looking for food.
