I recommend visiting on a weekday, like Tuesday or Wednesday, when it's less crowded. I went on a Saturday and it was packed!

My advice is to take your time with the armor and weapon displays. I rushed through and missed some really cool details that are worth it.

If you’re visiting from outside Japan, I found the audio guide really helpful but bring your own headphones to save some hassle. The rental ones were a bit worn out when I was there!
