I recommend bringing some water with you because there aren’t many places nearby to grab a drink and you might get thirsty walking around.

I suggest checking out the mosque in the early morning around 8 AM. The light is fab for photos and it's much quieter!

I think it's worth spending a bit of time chatting with the locals around the mosque – their stories about its history are really interesting and add so much more to the visit!
