Don't forget to explore the giftshop! There are some unique souvenirs that aren't overpriced. I actually found a cool book on Portuguese history that was well worth the couple of euros.

I suggest visiting on a weekday, especially in the morning around 10 AM when it’s less crowded. I went on a Sunday and it felt rushed with all the groups. You'll appreciate the details way more when it's quiet.

My advice is to take advantage of the audio guide. It gives you a deeper understanding of the coaches and the royal history. I skipped it at first, but I regretted that later because it really added to the experience
