I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can, as the weekends can get pretty crowded and it's tougher to enjoy the trails. I went on a Tuesday and had the park mostly to myself!
If you're into birdwatching, early mornings around 7 AM is the best time; I spotted so many different species just sitting quietly by the ponds.
Download a map of the trails before you go! I got a bit lost due to poor phone signal and it would've saved me some time and frustration.
