I suggest parking around 500 N State Street. It’s free and only a short walk to the Capitol. Save that cash for a nice meal afterwards!
I think weekdays are less crowded, so try to visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday for a more peaceful experience. I was there on a weekend - big mistake!
Bring a water bottle—it's easy to stay hydrated while checking out the beautiful grounds, and it'll save you a few bucks on drinks inside!
