My advice is to get there right at 8 AM when it opens. The early morning light makes everything look magical plus you'll avoid the crowds and have the trails to yourself!

I suggest bringing some cash for the local shops and the entrance fee. I saw lots of people caught off guard when they couldn't pay with cards, which made their visit frustrating.
