I suggest booking your lessons online in advance. I waited too long and ended up missing out on a great instructor on a busy day. It's totally worth the few extra bucks!

My advice is to bring your own gear if you can. The rental prices were a bit steep, and I wish I had saved that money for hot chocolate instead!

If you’re renting equipment, check multiple shops. I found a great deal at a nearby rental place, which saved me quite a bit. Sometimes, you don't have to settle for the place the school recommends
