If you're into hiking, start with the Crypt Lake trail. The views are mind-blowing! I suggest packing a lunch – you can save some cash and enjoy it at an amazing spot instead of the pricey cafés.
Don't forget to pick up the park map before heading out. I thought I could just rely on my phone, and signal was pretty terrible. A physical map is a lifesaver to navigate those trails.
I recommend bringing extra layers even in summer – the weather changes fast! I got caught in a chilly wind up on the trails and wished I had a warmer jacket with me.
