New

I felt like the gift shop was a bit overpriced, so I waited till I got back home to find some USS Iowa souvenirs online. I mean, you can find cool stuff for way less if you look around!

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. There’s a lot of walking and climbing stairs on this battleship! I made the mistake of wearing flip-flops and regretted it halfway through.

I highly recommend downloading the USS Iowa app before your visit. It has cool audio tours and info that really brings the ship to life! Saves you from wandering aimlessly.
