I suggest booking your pitch in advance, especially in the summer months. It gets super busy and you don’t want to end up cramped in a corner. Plus, they often have better deals if you book ahead.

If you’re planning to rent bikes, do it at least a day in advance. The rental shop can run out of good ones, and you don't want to miss out on a lovely ride around the area!
