I recommend bringing your own beach towels to save some cash, as they charge for rentals. It’s a small thing, but it added up when I forgot mine on my first visit!
If you're planning to hit the beach at Carlton, try to arrive around 9 AM to snag a good sunbed without the fuss of having to reserve. It's so much more relaxing when you don’t have to fight for a spot.
My advice is to check out the lunch menu at the beach club — I found the prices to be more reasonable than the dinner options. Plus, the atmosphere is just as lovely during the day.
