Wear comfortable shoes! There’s a lot of walking, and some paths are hilly. I regretted wearing flip-flops halfway through my visit.
If you want to save some cash, bring your own snacks and drinks. There’s a lovely picnic area and food in the park can be pricey.
i recommend arriving right when it opens at 9 am to beat the crowds and get a better look at the animals. it really makes a difference!
