If you're planning to ride Gelmerbahn, try to go around 9 AM to avoid the long lines... I went later and waited forever! It's totally worth it to catch that stunning morning light too
Make sure your phone has enough battery for the trip. I forgot to charge mine and missed some great photo ops. Also, the reception is spotty up there, so save maps offline.
Check the weather ahead of time. I didn’t and ended up with a cloudy day, which kind of dampened my experience. Clear skies make all the difference for those amazing mountain vistas.
