Get there for sunrise or just after! The early morning light on the cliffs is breathtaking, and you’ll avoid the big crowds that pile in later, especially on weekends.
Check the shuttle schedule if you're relying on public transport. It can be unpredictable, and I ended up waiting a lot longer than planned before the next one arrived.
If you plan on doing the photography thing, bring a tripod. I regretted not having mine for those perfect lighting shots at dusk.
