My advice is to pack a picnic! There are beautiful spots around the castle to sit and relax, plus it saves you money on food at cafés nearby. Trust me, I regretted not bringing my own lunch.
I suggest visiting Gripsholm on a weekday, especially Wednesday. It was way less crowded then and I could really take my time exploring the castle. Weekends get super busy!
I recommend checking out the castle's shop before you leave. They had unique souvenirs that weren’t overpriced like other touristy places. I found some great gifts there that I wasn’t expecting!
