If you're looking for a quieter spot, try visiting around 8 AM. It'll be less crowded and you can snag a nice piece of beach without the hustle.

My advice is to bring your own beach chairs and towels. Renting them can add up, but laying on your beach towel is just as relaxing, and you save some cash.

I suggest checking out the local kiosks for authentic Puerto Rican street food. The prices are way better than sit-down places and the flavors are amazing. I had the best alcapurrias there!
