I recommend booking your chimpanzee tracking permit in advance especially during peak seasons. I almost missed out because I thought I could just walk in! Trust me you don't want to waste time standing in line.

My advice is to pack snacks and water for the trek. The chimp tracking can take longer than expected, and you don’t want to be caught hungry in the jungle. Also, it saves you some cash on overpriced park food
