I suggest getting there right when they open at 10 AM. It was way less crowded, and we got to enjoy feeding the llamas without feeling rushed. Plus, the animals seemed way more active!
My advice is to bring your own picnic. The on-site cafe is nice, but it feels a bit pricey for what you get, and you'll want to take in the views while relaxing outside with the animals!
