My advice is to bring a good pair of grip shoes. I wore regular sneakers, and it didn't give me the traction I needed. You can find some cool local shops that sell affordable gear around the area.
I suggest you check their schedule online before you go. I didn't, and I ended up missing an awesome free workshop! Also, weekdays are usually less crowded; that's when I had the best experience.
