I recommend visiting in the morning, like around 9 AM, because it’s less crowded and you can enjoy the peaceful vibe of the gardens. Trust me, it’s way better than fighting the crowds later in the day!
Don’t miss the boat tour if it’s running! I saw so many amazing lilypads and birds along the water and it really gave me a different perspective of the plantation. It’s worth the extra cost!
My advice is to check the seasonal bloom calendar before you visit. I went expecting magnolias but was too early and missed them. Plan your trip for peak bloom time for the best photos!
