If you can, visit on a weekday instead of the weekend. It was way less crowded when I went on a Tuesday, so I really got to enjoy the underground formations without bumping into loads of other tourists.

Make sure you wear proper shoes! I had some issues with slippery areas because I underestimated the terrain. A sturdy pair of hiking shoes will not only keep you safe but also more comfortable
