I recommend visiting on Thursday or Friday when they have extended hours; it felt much quieter than the weekends. You can really take your time with the exhibits!
Check out the museum's website for their free admission days. I went on a Saturday when admission was free and it made the experience way more enjoyable without the guilt of spending too much.
