Bring a reusable water bottle! There are plenty of fountains around the port, and you'll save some cash instead of buying expensive drinks.

There are quite a few charming cafes and spots to grab a bite, but my advice is to check out the food at the Aker Brygge area for fresh seafood – it's a bit pricey but totally worth it!

Be mindful of the ferry schedules if you want to hop over to the islands. It's very easy to lose track of time, and I missed my ferry by just a few minutes – total bummer!
