I suggest booking your ticket online to skip the line. I didn’t, and waiting took forever! Plus, you can save a bit if you grab a combo ticket with nearby attractions.
I recommend visiting around 9 AM when it opens. It’s way less crowded then, and you can really soak in the stunning architecture without bumping into a million people.
i think it's worth getting the combined ticket for the baptistery and cathedral. it saves some cash and you get to see both incredible sites without having to pay separately.
