Try to visit on a weekday if you can, as weekends can get super crowded. I went on a Tuesday morning and it was way more pleasant and I got some nice photos without a ton of people in the background.

Don’t forget to grab a gelato from one of the stalls nearby when you finish your visit! It’s the perfect treat after exploring the cathedral.

Consider buying your tickets online in advance to skip the long lines. I waited about 30 minutes to get in, but I saw others waiting much longer.
