I strongly suggest you go in the morning, like around 9 AM, to avoid the crowds and snag a great spot. It gets pretty packed later in the day, and you really want to enjoy those hot springs in peace

I recommend checking the weather before heading out! It started raining when I was there, and the paths got super slippery. If it's wet outside, wear sturdy shoes so you don't end up in a muddy mess!

Bring your own snacks and drinks, because the prices at the on-site cafe can be a bit steep! I ended up paying way too much for a simple sandwich. Just a little prep can save you some cash.
