If you can, check out the surrounding area first... The walk up to the castle is lovely and gives you a sense of the historic charm of Rhodes that you won’t want to miss

Try to visit right when they open at 8 AM. I went late morning, and it was packed. Starting early gave me time to explore without feeling rushed.

I suggest grabbing snacks and drinks before you go. The castle's café is pricey and not worth it; I wished I'd just packed a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful gardens.
