I think bringing your own sunscreen is a must. The stuff they provide isn’t always reef-safe, and trust me, you don’t want a nasty burn while you’re trying to enjoy the waves.
If you can, try to schedule your lesson in the morning around 8 AM. The beach is less crowded, and you can catch some calmer waves to practice on!
My advice is to bring some cash. It’s handy for beachside snacks or if you want to tip your instructor for a great lesson—helps you avoid the hassle of finding an ATM!
