I would recommend trying to take lessons in a smaller group. The instructors really focus on you that way. Plus, it's less chaos in the water!

I suggest booking your lessons in advance, especially during peak season. It gets super busy and you might miss out if you wait until the last minute.

My advice is to check the surf report before you go. Certain times of the year, the waves are way too big for beginners. I got lucky, but you might not!
