I recommend taking a lesson on a weekday; the instructors have more time to focus on you and the slopes are less crowded making it way more enjoyable.
I think it's worth renting equipment directly from the school rather than a third-party shop. It saved me time and the gear was in great condition!
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The prices at the little cafe are a bit steep, and I found myself wishing I'd packed a sandwich!
