I reommend going in the morning, like around 9 AM, to avoid the heat and have more energy for sandboarding. The sun can be intense, so starting early really helped me enjoy the experience more.
My advice is to rent your sandboard and gear from a local shop rather than on-site. You'll save some cash and might find better quality boards. I felt the ones they provided were a bit worn out
