I think the best time to visit is on a weekday. It tends to be less crowded, and you can really soak in the architecture without dodging lots of people.

I suggest taking a stroll from the nearby Jardin des Plantes before you get to the Porte de Peyrou. It adds an extra layer of beauty to your visit. Plus, it's free!

Bring some snacks or a picnic! There are plenty of nice spots around the park where you can chill out and enjoy your food. It'll save you from overpriced cafes nearby.
