I suggest eating at the on-site café before diving into the exhibits. The food is good and it gives you a chance to gather your thoughts before seeing all that intense history.

If you can, try to get there around 9:30 AM. The crowds are way lighter then and you can really take your time exploring without feeling rushed.

I recommend downloading the Yad Vashem app before your visit – it has awesome audio guides that can really enhance your experience without the need for a physical guide, plus it's free
