Consider staying in the park if you can swing it. I had a night at a lodge, and waking up surrounded by such beauty was totally worth it.

If you love wildlife, go out early in the morning. I did, and I saw so many animals, including bison and elk, without the crowds ruining the experience.

Don't forget your layers! The weather changes quickly. I was freezing one minute and sweating the next. A good jacket helped me enjoy more without feeling miserable.
