I suggest wearing comfy shoes; you’ll do a lot of walking. The pathways are pretty well laid out but can wear you out if you're not prepared.
If you have kids, definitely visit the zoo’s play area - it's a great spot for them to relax and enjoy some fun after walking around.
Bring your own snacks and water! The food inside is pricey, and sometimes not that great. I wish I had packed a picnic instead.
