I recommend getting to the zoo right at 9 AM when it opens. You get a head start on the crowds and can take your time seeing all the animals before it gets too busy.
My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The zoo is larger than you might expect – I underestimated the amount of walking we’d be doing and was exhausted by the end!
If you're on a budget, bring snacks instead of dining at the restaurant. The food looked good, but I felt like it was a bit overpriced for what it was
