Sydney Opera House
Planning to take photos? I recommend visiting around sunset. The lighting makes the structure look even more magical!
If you want to save some bucks, try bringing your own snacks for the tour. The café prices are a bit steep!
Harbor Bridge
My advice is to grab snacks from a local cafe before your walk. There are great places nearby, and eating on the bridge is a no-go!
I think you should definitely walk the pedestrian path instead of taking the tour. The views are just as stunning, but free!
I recommend hitting up the Bridge by 7 AM. The morning light is fantastic for photos, and it's way less crowded, so you can enjoy the views.
Art Gallery of New South Wales
I think spending some time in the contemporary section is a must! It offers such cool pieces, and you can really feel the vibe of modern Australia.
Hit up the cafe for lunch—they have some great affordable options. I was surprised how reasonable the prices were for a gallery cafe!
Powerhouse Museum
Bring your own water bottle! The cafes can be pricey, and refilling at the water stations is totally free.
Make sure to check for any special events or exhibitions happening during your visit. I stumbled upon a cool science workshop that I hadn't seen advertised before.
I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. It was way less crowded, and I got to enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed.
If you're a fan of interactive exhibits, don't miss the experimentation zone. I spent way more time there than I planned, but it was so fun!
Modern Art Museum
There’s often some cool outdoor installations too. I think walking around the area after your visit is a great way to extend your experience.
if you’re into photography, bring your good camera. i took some great shots and they allow photography without flash, which is a bouns!
Australian Museum
Australian National Maritime Museum
While the museum is fantastic, I would suggest setting aside some time to explore Pyrmont Bridge right after. The views are stunning and it's nice to take a break after hitting the exhibits. Just don't forget your camera!
