Don’t miss the Imperial Apartments. I think they’re the highlight of the museum, full of history and stunning decor!

Museum of Applied Arts
Make sure to check out the museum shop! It's got some unique stuff, and I found a really cool gift for a friend. Prices are reasonable too!
I think you should plan for about 2-3 hours. I rushed through and missed a lot, so don't make my mistake! Take your time and absorb the art
Don’t skip the cafe on the second floor. They have some great coffee and cake at decent prices. It’s a nice break from all the walking.
Museum of Natural History
Plan for at least three hours. I thought I'd be done in two, but there's so much to see, especially the dinosaur exhibits. I ended up rushing through the last part!
Visit on a weekday if you can; it gets super crowded on weekends and holidays. I went on a Tuesday and had a much more relaxed experience.
Check out their temporary exhibits ahead of time. I missed one that I really wanted to see because I didn't know about it. It can be a game-changer for your visit.
Museum of Art History
If you're into the finer things, don't miss the Egyptian collection. I think it’s often overlooked, but there are some amazing artifacts that really blew my mind.
Get there right when it opens at 10 am! The lines can get pretty long later. I made the mistake of arriving after lunch and it was packed.
Try to grab an audio guide at the entrance. It really enhances the experience. I skipped it at first, but once you start wandering, you'll want some context on the exhibits.
Albertina Gallery
Don't forget to take advantage of the free audio guides. They offer cool insights about the art that you might miss otherwise. It helped me a ton.
If you're looking for a quieter time, try to go right when they open at 10 AM. I found it much easier to see everything without feeling rushed.
Vienna Technical Museum
Military History Museum
I recommend checking out the gift shop at the end. They had some unique souvenirs that were way cooler than the usual touristy stuff!
I suggest spending more time in the outdoor exhibits. You can really see some impressive vehicles up close and I thought they were a standout part of the museum!
If you're a fan of WWII history, focus on that section first. It's a real highlight and I thought it deserved way more time than I initially planned.

I think it’s smart to grab the audio guide if you’re into the details. It added so much context to the art I saw and really made the visit more enjoyable for me.
