I think you should take a guided tour if possible; it gives you so much insight into the architecture and history that I missed without one.

My advice is to bring water with you, especially if you're visiting in the hotter months. It gets really warm and there’s not much shade around.

When visiting wear modest clothing - I saw some people turned away. A light scarf can also be handy to cover your shoulders if needed.

I think visiting on a weekday is way better than the weekend. Less crowded, plus you can soak in the peaceful vibe of the temple. I went on a Friday and it was pretty hectic!
