Big Market
Manneken Pis
Don't just snap a pic and run. Spend a few minutes checking out the cute little shops nearby. You might find some cool souvenirs!
If you're a fan of street art, wander a bit further from Manneken Pis... There are some really cool murals hidden in the side streets
I suggest getting a waffle from a nearby stand while you're there. They are delicious and won't break the bank!
Atomium
Brussels Cathedral
After your visit, treat yourself to some Belgian treats at a nearby café. I had the best waffles just a short walk away, which was a nice way to wrap up my day!
Check the opening hours before you go, as they can vary depending on the season. I realized too late that they close early on some days, which cut my visit short!
Make sure to grab an audio guide for a small fee; it adds so much depth to your visit. I skipped it at first and regretted missing out on the history!
Royal Palace
I recommend visiting on a weekday if possible, the crowds are way thinner and you'll have better access to those stunning views. My experience was a lot more relaxed than the weekend rush!
I think the audio guide is totally worth it. It immerses you in the rich history much more than just wandering around. I almost skipped it and would’ve regretted it big time!
Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences
If you're planning on seeing the dinosaur gallery, definitely save that for the end. It's super popular and the queue can take forever—trust me!
I suggest taking the tram instead of driving; parking can be a hassle and it's really easy to reach. Plus, it gives you some time to relax!
Royal Museums of Fine Arts
My advice is to download the museum app. It has awesome info on the pieces and can give you a cool audio guide, plus you won't have to carry a bulky guidebook around!
Pissing Girl
Train World
I think you should grab a bite at the café inside before hitting the exhibits... The food is pretty decent and it’ll save you time instead of searching for a place outside afterward
I suggest checking out the special exhibitions before heading to the main exhibits; they often have unique displays that aren't listed in the general info. Those were the highlights for me!
If you're on a budget, look for combo tickets when you buy your entrance! They offer discounts when you pair Train World with other attractions nearby; I wish I knew that before my visit!
My advice is to make use of the interactive displays. They make learning about the history of trains way more fun and engaging. Trust me, you'll spend more time here and it’s totally worth it!
The Magritte Museum
I recommend visiting on a Wednesday afternoon around 3 PM. It was way less crowded then, and I had a better look at the art without anyone bumping into me.
Make sure to spend some time in the smaller galleries too. I almost missed them thinking they were unimportant, but they have some hidden gems!
My advice is to buy your tickets online to skip the long lines at the entrance. I didn't do this, and I felt like I wasted about 30 minutes waiting.
