Joaquina Beach

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. Beachside cafes can be pricey and while the food is great it's nice to save some cash and munch on what you love.

I recommend hitting the beach early, around 7 AM, to snag a good spot and enjoy the sunrise. It gets crowded fast, and the morning vibe is just unbeatable!
Brava Beach

I suggest wearing reef shoes or sandals because the sand can be super hot, especially in the afternoon. My feet were burning by about noon, and I regretted not packing them!

If you’re planning to surf, try to hit the waves early around 7 am when the wind is calmer and the water is less crowded. I had the best time catching some great waves then!
Mole Beach

I think sunset is magical at Mole Beach, so don’t miss it. Grab a beer, relax, and enjoy the colors, but be careful of the sandflies; they bite!

Bring your own snacks and drinks instead of buying from the kiosks. I found the prices were a bit steep, and packing a picnic is way more fun!
Corrego Grande Municipal Park

If you can, visit early in the morning around 8 AM. The park is much quieter, and you get to enjoy the vibe before crowds show up.

Check out the playground areas! They are super fun and well-maintained. I think kids of all ages can have a blast there.

My advice is to bring a camera! The views and nature are beautiful, and you'll regret not capturing the moments when you look back at your trip later.
Wear good walking shoes! The trails can be a bit uneven, and I slipped a couple of times because I wore sandals that weren't the best for hiking.
Luz Park

I highly recommend getting to Luz Park early in the morning, around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before it gets busy. It's a great time for taking photos too!

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes since the park covers a lot of ground. I wore flip-flops and regretted it after several hours of walking around.
Dunes of Joaquina
If you’re planning to rent a sandboard, make sure to haggle a little. I paid too much on my first try, but a friendly chat with the guy got me a better deal later!
Matadeiro Beach

I recommend getting to Matadeiro Beach early, around 8 AM, to snag a good parking spot and enjoy a quieter beach vibe before the crowds roll in. Trust me, it makes a huge difference!
If you're planning to surf, check out local surf schools for affordable lessons. I found a great one that didn't break the bank and really helped me catch some nice waves!

Beware of the tides, as they can change quickly. I suggest checking a tide chart ahead of time, so you can enjoy the beach without worrying about getting stranded!
