You can save a few bucks by looking for combo tickets if you’re planning to visit the nearby Art Gallery too. I didn’t know about it in advance, so I paid more.
Black Ball Ferry Line
Be prepared for a chilly breeze, even in summer! I made the mistake of not bringing a jacket and regretted it during the ride. Just a light layer can make your trip a lot more comfy.
I think it’s worth checking out which side offers the best views. On the way to Port Angeles, the left side is awesome for sightseeing! Just grab a window seat for a nice experience
Legislative Assemblies of British Columbia
Bring a snack if you're on a budget; the cafes there can be a bit pricey. I wish I had packed something when I visited!
Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse
Craigdarroch Castle
Miniature World
I recommend checking out the diorama of the old city—it’s super detailed. If you spend more time there, you’ll appreciate everything a lot more. Also, keep an eye out for hidden figures, they are like little treasures
My advice is to buy tickets online instead of at the door. You'll save a few bucks and avoid the longer lines, which is really worth it! Trust me, I learned that the hard way!
Government House
Hatley Castle
my advice is to grab a coffee at the nearby cafe before heading in. prices inside can be a bit steep, and you can save money and enjoy a snack while exploring the grounds
I suggest checking out the gardens first if you're a fan of nature. They open early, and it's way less crowded in the morning. You'll get some great pics!
I recommend wearing comfy shoes! The castle and gardens are beautiful, but you'll do a lot of walking and some areas have uneven paths.
Christ Church Cathedral
I suggest visiting around 10 AM when it opens. The light is stunning for photos, and it’s less crowded. Plus, you can soak in all the details of the architecture without rushing!
