Be sure to check out the smaller vendors along the sides. I found some hidden gems in terms of unique snacks and souvenirs that I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Check out the front building before you explore the market. The architecture is stunning and there's usually a photo op waiting for you if you visit at around 10 AM.

If you're a foodie, arrive on a Saturday morning. The market is buzzin' with fresh vendors and special events. Don't miss the farmers' market in the North Market - it's a real experience.

Look for combo deals or tastings. I stumbled upon a couple of stands that offered samples if you bought something, which saved me a few bucks while exploring.

Grab some food before you go in! The prices inside are sky high for just a burger and fries. There are awesome cheap eats nearby like St. Lawrence Market. It’ll save you some cash!

If you're taking public transport, get off at the Union Station. It's super close and you won’t waste time finding your way. Plus, it's an easy hop on the train back if you've had an exhausting day!

Check out the roof opening! I was lucky enough to be there on a day they opened it. It's a unique experience that should not be missed, so ask around to see if it’ll be open when you visit!

If you want a bite to eat, look for the food trucks. They can have some tasty options at better prices than sit-down restaurants nearby.

remember to keep an eye on the weather. i went when it was drizzling and didn’t bring an umbrella – not my best plan!

I suggest wearing comfortable shoes because you'll likely do a lot of walking, especially if you plan to explore the surrounding shops and streets.

I think the evenings are magical here, especially after 6 PM when the lights come on. Just grab a snack from a nearby vendor and enjoy the vibe!
Distillery Historic District

If you’re aiming to save some cash, try grabbing a coffee from one of the smaller places instead of those sit-down cafes. They’ve got great brews and it’s cheaper!

I think the best way to appreciate the architecture is to just stroll around. I made the mistake of rushing through the buildings – and totally missed some fantastic details!
Don’t skip the art installations! They are scattered throughout the district and some really cool surprises are waiting if you wander a bit off the main paths.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

If you're into photography, go around 3 PM when the light is just perfect for some stunning shots of the architecture. The golden hour really brings out the details.

I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can, as weekends can get crowded. You’ll have a much more peaceful experience and better opportunities for quiet reflection.

Grab a snack at the restaurant on-site before or after your visit. The food is delicious and reasonably priced – a perfect way to recharge!

One thing I learned is to stop by the gift shop after your visit. They have some really unique items at fair prices that you won’t want to miss!
